Our History & Vision

Founded in 2011 by Dave Melin, Innovation Partners was created to bring biopharmaceutical, medical technology, and medical device manufacturers together with decision makers in the US and around the globe in order to accelerate access to innovative therapies for patients.

Building upon a foundation of influential and wide-reaching relationships, our core team of experts boasts more than 150 years of combined industry, public and private sector experience. Our clients include “top cancer start-ups to watch” as well as “top pharmaceutical giants in the global oncology business”. Our greatest achievement has and continues to be clients and partners who turn to us year after year as a preferred partner for market and payer access, market research, and medical affairs strategies aimed at growing patient access to novel therapies, devices, and technologies – across the US and around the world.

“IP has continued to be critical in our strategy. From day one they have worked closely with [us] as an extended part of our company, understanding our challenges and working with us to find solutions putting a clear strategy in place, and ultimately delivering on their word. Our relationship is incredibly strong and they feel like family.”

Celebrating 10 years of serving clients

2021 marked an important milestone for Innovation Partners as we celebrated 10 years of providing support to our clients, as they seek access for their innovations, to better the lives of patients and their families. It is with great humility that we can say, after 10 years, that we continue to build lasting and meaningful relationships which assist us as we work to simplify the complex, turning analysis into actionable insights.

IP Anniversary Celebration

In celebration of our corporate anniversary, the Innovation Partners team was pleased to invite friends and colleagues across the oncology/hematology space to celebrate with us on June 3rd in Chicago. Representatives from manufacturers, professional societies, and other oncology/hematology stakeholders joined together for a casual rooftop celebration overlooking the lake and downtown Chicago.

IP Gives Back

In honor of this significant milestone, IP launched the IP Gives Back Campaign  – a  project intended to celebrate the past 10 years of success and propel us into the future by supporting a cause that deeply aligns with our Core Values and Focus.  In October, our team kicked off this unique campaign by partnering with an organization whose mission and vision aligned well with our own.

We are proud to announce our partnership with The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Columbia, MD. Each year, both men and women nationwide receive life-saving services provided by ABCF to aid in the early detection, treatment, and survival of breast cancer. These support programs provide direct assistance grants to reduce the financial barriers of individuals regardless of age, race, or gender.

Through the IP Gives Back campaign, employees and their families were invited to participate in “Hiking for Hope” to raise funds and awareness for ABCF. Over the course of several weeks, the staff made personal commitments to hike or walk, raising funds in support of their personal goals. From San Francisco to Philadelphia, our team came together in spirit – committing to miles, steps, and elevations that empowered them to raise funds and awareness in support of ABCF’s programs and services.

Looking Ahead

Although we’ve changed over the years, as we come to the end of this 10-year milestone we continue to leverage our experience and expertise to provide support in Market Access, Market Research, and Medical Affairs. We have successfully completed well over 175 Client Projects and provided support for nearly 60 brands across oncology, hematology, rare disease, supportive care, neurology, and respiratory disease.

To all of our partners – we thank you for your support; for your commitment to your work and to patients, and for the great partnerships and oftentimes friendships we have formed over the past 10 years. We look forward to continuing to work with you as we Inquire, Illuminate, and Inform Healthcare Access, for many more years to come and encourage you to reach out to us at any time so that we may continue to collaborate in partnership, to Make Lives Better.
